ARE YOU A CHOCOHOLIC?
Do you think about anything but chocolate throughout the day? Can’t you avoid eating a chocolate if someone offers you one? Is the aroma of chocolate the best one you have ever smelt? Is chocolate the only thing you eat when nibbling?
If you answered ‘Yes’ to most of the above questions, then the chances are that you are a chocoholic. A chocoholic is someone who cannot resist the urge to eat chocolate at every chance they have. As a consequence, they cannot live without some bars of chocolate at home. The underlying symptoms they have are a strong dependence on sweet foods, mainly chocolate, an obsession with feeding themselves only by chocolate, and withdrawal symptoms if they do not have any chocolate close, leading to bad mood, biting their nails and a strong feeling of starvation. Other problems include insomnia, shivering or getting worked up. Anxiety and impatience are at the root of this addiction. Nutritionists assure that chocolate addiction is getting more common in our society, especially among children. What is more, they warn that this dependence is likely to result in child obesity.
So what should you change if you think you might be a chocoholic and do not want to? The key is not to be reluctant to stop eating chocolate. Another thing you must do is think about your hobbies, your friends or relatives. If you cannot help thinking about food, try to replace chocolate with an apple or a coffee. Make sure you do not live on chocolate too. Most importantly, learn how to reach a state of bliss without any chocolate around you. Not only will you lose some extra weight, but you may also feel better yourself.

I would very much consider myself a chocoholic, but I look at it in a positive light. I adore chocolate, and I have been known to eat copious amounts of it, but I think it's OK because I'm not obese. If I were to become obese then yes, I would cut down on my chocolate intake, but until then... I'm going to keep on eating!! :D
ReplyDeleteI don't want to deceive you, Kayleigh... Chocolate isn't so good despite you (we) like it so much... So, try to eat less of it with the tips I've written for all the chocoholics (if you want to) ;)
ReplyDeleteI am afraid I don´t like chocolate at all, so I leave all the chocolate in the world for Kayleigh. Enjoy it...but take care of your health
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy eating chocolate but I understand also that's not good to get into it. However, I don't think it's too "dangerous" to eat a bit of a bar of chocolate each day. Or maybe I just don't want to realize that it is.
