Silvia Sedano-narrative

It was a rainy day in our little village, not far
from the canal. I was feeling under the weather and looking up at the
sky I noticed that everything was dark, included my own life. I had
been walking for an hour under the downpour when I managed to see something that looked like a shed to take shelter. I certainly needed someone to tell me what I had just seen but there was nobody in the horizon. Being really tired I fell asleep.

While I was sleeping, the weather changed and when I woke up, I
suddenly discovered, to my relief, that the sun was just beginning to
appear over the roofs in the village. Taking advantadge of the
favourable conditions I tried to find Albert to let him know the news.
As I found him, he told me that everyone in the village had feared for
my life when they heard about a fight in the slums of the city.

No sooner had I felt cosy at home I started to tell him how I was about to reach the main street in the neighbourhood of Madison, when I heard two shots in a backstreet nearby. Then, looking
at the narrow street, I tried to find out what had happened, but unfortunately I stumbled over an iron bar, making a horrible noise that allowed them to know that there was someone around. I escaped from the scene of the crime running as fast as possible, but a shot caught me near my knee. Taking out my gun, I tried to defend myself from them but it was then when I realised that there was no point in shooting, so I flew away to the forest. I crossed it with a sharp pain in my injuried leg which was killing me and with a strong fear as well.

Looking back, since I was face to face with death I
regret having used violence because violence leads to more violence
and it is not worth it at all.
