Above is the link for the latest singing sensation in the UK.
Her name is Susan Boyle, a 47 year old woman from a small village in Scotland and last Saturday she appeared on the TV show "Britain's Got Talent", only for her life to change forever.
The amazing thing about this story, is that as soon as she appeared on the stage, everybody prejudged her and thought that she was going to be awful - but how wrong they were!! The judges even apologised for their misconceptions.
This is evidence that a book should never be judged by its cover. Watch the video and let me know what you think of her.
- What is yor first impression of her as soon as she walks onto the stage?
- What do you think of her singing voice?
- Do you think she could win the programme?
She is currently the bookies' favourite to win, but I guess I'll have to stay tuned to find out!
She has received MILLIONS of hits on You Tube and has even become popular in the United States, and it is rumoured that Oprah Winfrey has invited her onto her show. Even Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are fans of hers! Crazy...

don't know what to say, absolutely brilliant!! How right you are Kay!
ReplyDeleteIncredible! It seems like she knew what was going to happen, don't it? I hope she win the programme, or at least, that she will achieve to be a proffesional singer because her voice is really amazing!
ReplyDeleteIncredible!!! What a brilliant voice!
ReplyDeleteI think she will definitely by able to make a career out of her appearance, but as the programme has progressed, there have been more and more very talented acts, so we'll have to wait and see what happens.
ReplyDeleteAll of you are completely right !!
ReplyDeleteIt's true that at the moment she got on stage all of us are bound to prejudice her due to her scruffy and tacky appearance, don't you think? As in the end everybody recognized how wrong we were. But let me be a bit skeptical about sth... Do you really think that the judges didn't know she was going to sing "surprisingly good"? What about castings process and all that stuff before being on TV?
Even though, it's amazing how we changed our opinion in less than 6 minutes.
