Squatting in London

We've been talking about squatting in class. This piece of news might be useful to learn a bit more about the subject.


In loving memory of Jesse Taylor who died recently.

Being nice to our neighbours became news in london on one beautiful summers day. This place was squatted twice more, in the end the judge convinced the council to unofficially let the squatters stay until renovation started.

This has got to be one of the most beautiful houses in London. From the roof you can see all the way from Canary Wharf to Batterse powerstation and beyond.

This is a site for kids, but they have excellent stories to listen to and the English accent of the story reader is really pretty and easy to understand. Well, and a little confession, my son Miguel loves the stories so much that sent his opinion on an mp3 file on the site's third birthday and they posted it on the site for everybody to listen to it!
