I cannot but take this opportunity to recommend everyone to go and see the film Liberal Arts (Amor y Letras in Spanish). Here in valladolid you can see it at the Casablanca Cinema. You can choose between seeing it in dubbed version or in English with subtitles in Spanish. Let me suggest you the second choice. Is there a more fabulous and easier way of learning English? The writer, director and leading actor of the film is Josh Radnor, famous for his role of Ted Musby in the popular tv series How I Met Your Mother. Anyone who likes reading, music, love and life will like this film. I loved it ! It's the best film I've seen in a long time. When you go out of the cinema, the film leaves you with a big smile on your lips and it continues there every time you remember its witty dialogues, its tottally credible characters and story and ,above all, the great sensibility of Josh Radnor, who seems to want to tell us with his film :" Life has a sense, it's usually concealed, that's true, but if you're lucky enough you'll find it out with someone else by your side".

I certainly agree with this recommendation. I saw it myself at Seminci Film festival in Valladolid and enjoyed it very much.
ReplyDeleteSadly enough, Casablanca is the only cinema in Valladolid that shows undubbed movies. I also recommend "Searching for Sugar Man" and the next movie that will be on at that cinema "Great Expectations"; the problem is that the latter will only be shown undubbed at 10.00 at night, but I'll certainly make the effort, will you?
